St. Joe Beach and Beacon Hill
The St. Joe Beach / Beacon Hill area is a step back in time to Old Florida with quaint original beach cottages along with new Gulf front homes with views facing west across to the Cape San Blas Peninsula for spectacular sunsets. Beacon Hill is situated high above the dunes overlooking the Gulf. The area is marked with a flashing beacon light once used to keep ships off the shallow shoal. Veterans Memorial Park offers tennis courts, a nature trail, baseball fields, a playground and more.
St. Joe Beach is conveniently located halfway between Mexico Beach and Port St. Joe so restaurants, shopping and marinas are all within a five minute drive. Additionally, the shoreline of St. Joe Beach is protected by the Cape San Blas Peninsula which insures calm, tranquil waters perfect for swimming. Part of the St. Joe Beach area called "St. Joe Shores" is now located in a tranquil secluded area created when highway 98 bypassed the Gulf front stretch of the area. Located adjacent to the Windmark Development and soon within walking distance of Dining, shops and entertainment in the new Windmark downtown area. A new 3 mile walking path meanders along the Gulf front and is just right for family biking.
