DESCRIPTION

We invite you to visit our house on the beach at Indian Pass. From the house and deck is a terrific view of the Pass, Gulf and St. Vincent Point, a protected sanctuary for pelicans, terns, black skimmers, eagles, and many other species that inhabit St. Vincent National Wildlife Refuge. Bring your spotting scope or binoculars and you’ll be amazed at the spectacle of bird life. A boardwalk leads to the beach where you can walk, swim, fish or watch the dolphins and tarpon rolling by. With a kayak, you can paddle over to the island where a trail leads to 9 miles of gorgeous unspoiled beach with nary a house, and seldom another person, in sight.

“Coming to Pass” a Gulf-view duplex home at Indian Pass takes you to a place of restful solitude unlike the hustle and commercialism of other Florida beach locations. The house is surrounded by decks, on three sides and on the top and bottom floors. From the back deck and spacious open living area, you will experience amazing sunsets and views of Indian Lagoon. There is a large screened porch for cool nights and hammock sleeping.

The beautifully-decorated, recently updated three-bedroom, two-and-one-half bath home will sleep eight people. Two bedrooms have queen-size beds; the third bedroom has a twin bed with pullout trundle. A queen sleeper sofa in the living room completes the sleeping accommodations. There is large tiled shower in the master suite. Brand new appliances and mattresses are a comfortable plus. The house displays a dozen spectacular canvases by award-winning photographer David Moynahan. Charts of the local waters, and information on birding, sea turtles, beaches, oceanography and local history in our small, high-quality library will orient you to the natural world of Indian Pass. The house is perfect for family get-togethers, artists’ retreats, or solitary respite. Sorry, we cannot accommodate pets. For larger gatherings, you can rent the duplex’s adjoining unit.

The Indian Pass Boat Launch is less than a half mile away, so don't forget your boat and bring your kayaks. Or, you can walk down the beach and catch the shuttle boat to St. Vincent National Wildlife Refuge just across the Pass, or charter a boat for a little off shore fishing. At Indian Pass, nature abides. This area is great for those of you who enjoy birding, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, cycling, boating, sunning, long walks on the beach, and just plain rest, relaxation and rejuvenation. To learn more about the Refuge, you can join a tour sponsored by the active Refuge supporters group. These tours run from October-May In waterfront Apalachicola, a 15-20 minute drive east, you can enjoy great seafood restaurants and quaint shops, including Downtown Books, the best bookstore in the panhandle. You’ll find clear blue water for body-surfing and snorkeling (and scalloping in season) at nearby St. Joe Peninsula State Park. There is also a golf course on the way to Port St Joe. If you are seeking a fast paced area with lots of action, this is probably not the place for you.. If relaxation, fishing, kayaking, wildlife viewing and enjoying unspoiled nature are on your vacation wish list, then you will love your stay at “Coming to Pass”.

The owner will rent monthly at a rate of 1800.00 per month for Spring and Fall and 1500.00 per month for winter. This rate does not include additional fees and 12% taxes.

Check out the Gulf Coast Vacation Rentals app for more information and activities you can enjoy during your stay. You can find local area guides, reservation info, restaurant and shopping recommendations, be notified of emergency situations and much more.
